Elon Musk-Based NFT Collection Launched As Web3 Movement

Social commerce platform Basic.Space revealed its role in the launch of the Elon Musk-inspired non-fungible token (NFT) collection Elon.Space. Created as a cultural experiment powered by Basic.Space and Web3, the NFT collection is a “thoughtful” integration of new technologies and fashion bridging the real world with the digital. 

Basic.Space’s collections are featured in Forbes, Vogue, Highsnobiety, and other major media platforms due to its innovative concepts and designs. The social commerce platform is trying to push the boundaries of fashion with digital assets and Web3 by providing users with a unique experience. 

Their Elon Musk-based Elon.Space collection is a “commentary on the future of web3”, according to a press release shared with Bitcoinist, inspired by Musk’s appreciation for memes and cryptocurrency.

Specifically, Musk publicly revealed that he is a fan of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE). The billionaire and entrepreneur made this revelation in 2021, leading to a massive surge in the price of DOGE. The cryptocurrency return from the ashes. Now it occupies the 10th spot in the rank of cryptocurrencies with the highest market cap. 

Moreover, Elon Musk gave birth to an entire cultural movement supported by “Meme Coins,” showing that some of the most critical conversations about society are happening at the intersection between technology and culture. Elon.Space is a representation of that movement. 

The entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla said the following about the reason for his support for Dogecoin:

The point was that Dogecoin was invented as a joke, as essentially to make fun of cryptocurrency and that’s why… I think there’s an argument that the most entertaining outcome is the most like ‘what would be the most ironic outcome?

Why Launch An Elon Musk-Inspired Web3 Experiment
